My name is Greg Davis. I am the brother of Victor Davis, an Olympic athlete who was killed on November 11th, 1989. Last year was the twentieth anniversary of Victor’s death. While this was an enormous tragedy for my family, we agreed to donate Victor's organs and five people received the gift of life.
My feelings after my run were a mixture of exhilaration, pride, joy, excitement and gratitude. I was and still am proud to have been one of the torch bearers. As an athlete, it means a lot having been one of the few to carry the Olympic Flame. During my run, at that particular moment, I was the only one in the entire world to have the Olympic Flame.
