Located 16 km from downtown, the Jean-Lesage International Airport welcomes more than 900,000 passengers each year on aircrafts of all types. This airport has recently undergone major improvements. In an effort to expand and modernize, more space was added to the airport’s facilities and the air terminal is now more versatile. Thanks to the latest technology and an adequate equipment, the Jean-Lesage airport has improved security and efficiency. A dozen carriers offer more than 300 weekly scheduled flights to destinations in North America, South America and Europe.
Air Canada offers departures from all major cities in Canada and the United States to Toronto and Montreal, which offer regular connecting flights to Québec City.
Other national air carriers, such as Westjet and Flyporter, also offer flights to Québec City.

By Car
Quebec City is easily accessible by car via the network of very well- maintained highways and provincial roads. The Highway 20 ( Trans-Canada Highway) serves the south shore of the St. Lawrence River and the Highway 40, the north shore.
By Train
The Gare du Palais, which is located in the heart of lower-town, is the train station serviced by Via Rail Canada. Another station is located in the area of Sainte-Foy. Everyday departures and arrivals are bound for Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.
Transport From one Competition Site to Another
Athletes, officials and supporters will travel by bus from one competition site to another thanks to the organizing committee. Also, all participants will be provided with a bus pass for the city’s public transportation network to use in their free time.
